Rear 25mm black webbing can hold a throwline for quick release deployment. It can be used as an anchor point for a quick release tow; hence when towing it can be released off the 25mm webbing cam buckle at the rear or released from the front main buckle therefore if it spins around then you always have access to a quick release point! There is a D ring anchored with powerful bar tack stitching for other system initiatives. Fits up to a 60 inch waist & is adjustable. |
What is the purpose of the red sleeve in the middle of the 25mm black webbing?
When holding a throwline it prevents the bag from bunching up .
When towing, a line can be connected on the far side of the red sleeve from the quick release to increase security. A SUP leash can also be attached here.

2. SUP Water Belt
For river/estuary use it has a separate extension SUP leash connector aswell as holds a throwline/accessory pouch/camera.

The SUP Water Belt has an extra extender quick release attached with power stitching to the belt. The extender is 22cm long & has a D ring/ Stainless Keyring to attach to the leash. The extender allows easy reach to release the leash.

For touring SUP this is a simple easy to use leash connector.
The extension makes it easy to reach.
The stainless keyring will fit directly onto most leash swivels allowing a neat simple connection.

4. Belt Safety Advice
Adjust the belt length to fit your waist so that the large main quick release buckle is central in front and any rear accessory is aligned central to the rear. To adjust use the belt slider and also use the webbing through the main buckle. Adjust whilst wearing kit you will be using on the water. Once the belt is adjusted to fit you there will be excess webbing tailing out of the main buckle. It is highly recommended to cut the excess tail so that a very short length tail remains: tail length approx 8cm.
Cut the tail using sharp scissors or a hot knife. Make sure the end edge is melted and flat so there are no rough burrs. A short tail will allow a much quicker release of the belt in an emergency.
