Kernmantel 8mm & 10mm Floating Rope
These ropes are top grade performance standard lines manufactured in a specialist rope factory in Europe. Kernmantel defines the rope to have an inner core of braided line which is then covered in an outer layer called a sheaf of additional braided line. With our ropes they are made with 16 plait braids to make the core and also to make the sheaf; both of these elements are made of polypropylene which floats.
Colour yellow with red/black flecks.
Kernmantel ropes are typically used in performance throwlines & for water rescue rigging.
Light 6mm & 8mm & 10mm Floating Rope
This rope is a single 16 braid rope with no solid core which allows more flexibility in the line for packing into throwlines but is not as strong or as robust. Typically used for basic throwlines, canoe lines, messenger lines, painters, canoe lacing.
Colour alternate red & yellow braids.
6mm Reflective Deckline - IN STOCK
This is a 16/16 braid polyester kernmantel cord with a continuous reflective element which reflects light shone onto it at night. Very useful for sea kayak decklines to improve nightime visbility.
