In the not so distant past a silver kayak pendant was created during the adventures of Steve Ugg. He left his kayak with an Artesan in the Andes and asked for it to be copied in miniature. He then assisted in the final design before making a small quantity. These were then sold to help fund his river adventures.
Silver Kayak
The Kayak is approx 3.3 grammes of sterling silver hallmarked in the Birmingham Asay Office, UK. The overall length is 32mm or 1 1/4 inches. It is presented on a waxed cotton cord & clasp, in a card sleeve. Kayak Cufflinks Four silver kayaks. Each pair connected by silver chain links fitted together to order in our workshop by a professional silversmith. Water Pebble This is a silver water pebble with a hammered and beaten texture to create a weathered, assymetric feel to the surface. It is approx 4.5 grammes in net weight, 15mm (5/8 inch) diameter. A hole has been drilled to accommodate the cord. The waxed cotton cord is 18 inches as standard but I can supply a different length on request. River Eddy Water currents of a river eddy are swirling within stronger currents. Created during a trip to Guatamala we were running rivers during Hurricane Mitch. The whole country was on red alert; rivers were flooding and our five day river trip took only 8 hours. Made of Sterling Silver approx 3 grammes in net weight and 16mm in diameter. A Larks hitch is used to attach the waxed cotton cord and a clasp unites the cord. |
