Deck Quick Release
A quick release element to build into your system as a safety back up for emergency release when towing or linking boats/gear in a water environment
Deck Quick Access Very useful as a quick ACCESS device for kit on a boat such as a throwline. The red karabiner anchors to the boat. Grab the throwline and pull the toggle for quick access. The Whetman Klamp stainless buckle holds it in place firmly and is robust for outdoor dynamic water conditions. Example here of a Peli case rigged for quick access possibly contains a first aid kit or camera |
Deck Quick Release TowThe red karabiner is anchored on the deck. A ring of an Anaconda 3 metre Tow is threaded through the webbing to provide a 3 metre tow.
Any line or sling can be connected to the webbing and held in place by the stainless buckle with peace of mind that the system can be released in an emergency. Featuring the Whetman Klamp: own design stainless robust eccentric loading cam buckle. An original design by Whetman Equipment |
Deck Quick Release Strength
The webbing loop held in by the Klamp stainless buckle will easily hold an adult suspended off it (a force of approx 1kN). This is more than enough to tow kayaks and small rescue RIBs or a waterskier. The webbing will start to creep out of the buckle at approx 1.3kN.
